What’s your username/preferred name?
Hawthorne_Fairy. I know that other people know me by other names, but for the sake of sanity, I'm the li'l HF in here!

How old are you?
25

Where in the world are you from?
Halesowen, which is a little town in the West Midlands, UK.

What kinds of books do you like to read?
Modern/Contemporary fiction, some crime fiction, some autobiographies, and a few classics.

Who are your favourite authors?
Jodi Picoult, Adriana Trigiani, Alice Sebold, Toni Morrison, Patricia Cornwell, Alice Walker, Karin Slaughter, and probably a lot more that I can't think of right now.

List 5 books that you would recommend to other people.
The Lovely Bones - Alice Sebold
Plain - Jodi Picoult
To Kill a Mocking Bird - Harper Lee
The Hobbit - J R R Tolkien
Weaveworld - Clive Barker

Are there any books that completely blew you away?

To Kill a Mocking Bird has been my all time favourite read. I think there are morals and lessons there that can be learned by all.
The intricacy of Weaveworld was amazing. The fact that one man could write all of that, and keep the reader completely engrossed in a far-fetched sci-fi astounds me.
The Lovely Bones is unique. It deals with a harrowing subject with the kind of delicacy that you just don't expect.

What do you love about reading?
The escapism. The ability to be living a normal life, but have your mind in a completely different place.

That's hard to pin down. I like certain authors. My current fav is Jodi Picoult. I first read The Pact. Now I'm reading My Sister's Keeper.
I've loved to read as far back as I can remember. Reading takes me to places and people i'd never otherwise experience. Reading is the ultimate escape.
